I’m a lecturer in Health Informatics at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand.
I’m a graduate of Nottingham Medical School: intercalated BMedSci 1997 (dissertation on Medical e-Learning) and Medical Degree (BMBS) in 2000.
In the UK, I worked at Cambridge University and for the NHS in Orthopaedics and General Surgery.
I’m currently working towards a PhD in Health Informatics studying the use of Electronic Medical Records and e-Learning systems.
My interests include Electronic Health Records, Mobile Computing, Medical e-Learning and Evidence Based Medicine.
I lecture on a distance taught post-graduate diploma in Health Informatics and a new paper on Web 2.0 and Online Communities.
I also run a medical e-learning development company called New Media Medicine Ltd.
Outside work I enjoy Skiing, Kayaking and seeing as much as I can of New Zealand (see my photos on Flickr).
